Berry Bloom

Hey!

Finally found a few minutes to pop by and share a card! Why is it that time goes SO fast when you've SO much to do?!

You might wonder why such a super CAS card that I'm sharing tonight, well it might be because I was having SO much fun playing with the NEW June Release that my creative mojo went awol when it came to using other stamps!

Not long before the Sneak Peeks start here on the blog, but for now how about another Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum...

I started out by using the NEW Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card, I love a good CAS layout. I then chose Berry Sorbet as my colour as it is one of my FAVES and I haven't used it for some time. My little ink cube is getting tired so I might just have to treat myself to a new one soon!

Here's a little close up of the berry bloom...

With my ink being tired it gave a soft ombre effect that I was quite please with and couldn't have achieved if I tried!

Ok, that's all from me tonight, I've a couple of jobs to complete before bed & there is still much to be done for the craft fair and the upcoming June Release - it's gonna be a FABULOUS release and one not to be missed! I'm already in LOVE with the new sets even though I am biased!

Thanks for stopping by & for all the lovely comments :)

More Watercolour Blooms...

Hey!

Wednesday already?! This week seems to be flying by, probably because it's a busy one here in the studio. I have a card to share though which I made this morning...

Another watercolour bloom and quite different from yesterday's watercolour bloom HERE. Firstly because I used Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum and secondly the watercolour technique I used is the same one DT member Amber used HERE

I used the soon to be ending Fusion #8 challenge seen HERE and below both for the layout and inspiration for my card.

I tell you this card took me AGES and not because I couldn't decide what to do, it was the ribbon tying that took the time, sometimes I get it perfect first time but others like today it was frustrating! Anyway, you might spot a little peek at a NEW product launching this weekend at the Looka' Teesside Craft Fair in this next photo...

Don't worry if your not local it's not long till the NEW products will be available on the website HERE. Oh, and if you've been waiting for them to come back in stock the Pure Florals: Chrysanthemums are back in stock today!

Ok, that's all from me today, I best get to the Post Office to get some stamps on their way to some lovely customers :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey!

How are we all, well & good I hope? So, I had a totally relaxing and lazy Bank Holiday weekend and had zip all creative mojo hence the lack of posts! Anyway, I finally found a little creative mojo this afternoon after catching up on some tasks and created this card...

Yep, super simple & super CAS just the right combination to get the creative juices flowing! I used a couple of challenges to help kick start things too! I used the soon to be ending CAS(E) this Sketch! seen HERE and below and also the soon to be ending The Play Date Cafe colours seen HERE and below. Nothing like entering at the last minute!!

Super FREE Saturday - Simple Bloom

Hey!

I'm SO glad you stopped by the blog today as I've a little Bank Holiday treat in store for you all :) Yep, it's time for another Super FREE Saturday...

This Super FREE Saturday collection is called Simple Bloom and it can be downloaded for FREE via the Uniko Studio website HERE. Simply register if you haven't already and download the file - easy!

This digital collection contains one Simple Bloom image and one sentiment which come as a PNG file and as a Photoshop Brush. Plus 3 digital patterned papers which can be printed both A4 and US letter size.

How about a card showing you how I've used the collection...

I clustered a trio of blooms in the lower left of my document in Photoshop, added the sentiment and printed it out. I then used my Prisma Colour pencils and Gamsol to colour them in before trimming and mounting.

If you download the collection and use it I'd LOVE to see your projects, why not upload them to the Uniko Studio Flickr Group HERE or send me a link to your project on your blog or you can even email me a photo!

That's all from me this morning, I'll be back later today with another SFS card to share with you all. Enjoy!

Refreshing...

Hey!

A bit late with today's post, sorry. I've had a blah day with first a trip to the car garage to get our car sorted and I've been suffering with back pain so have been resting up. After a much needed nap this afternoon I have come into the studio refreshed and made this refreshing card...

I love this colour and find it very refreshing. I used the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for my card and kept it super CAS.

A couple of layered vellum butterflies adorned with bling keeps the freshness and finished the card off nicely.

So what have you got planned this weekend? Any crafting time scheduled in? If the answers YES then you might just want to pop back here tomorrow as Uniko Studio is having another Super FREE Saturday - Yay! It's been a while since I had a freebie download so I thought why not have one this Saturday.

Ok, that's all from me today, I'm off to relax in front of the TV and watch a film with my hunny - perfect!

Thanks for stopping by & hope to see you tomorrow!

Introducing Abbey!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Abbey and I've been doing a bit of work experience here at Uniko Studio this week. I am a soon to be graduate of CCAD and will be exhibiting my Final Major Project at the Degree Show, to find out more click here

I've also been chosen to exhibit at New Designers, so you can catch me there or check out my Facebook page here

Well Thats enough about me, so what's been happening in the studio?!

So, Beverley introduced me to the studio on monday and ever since we've been packaging up lovely products and organising the studio.

Since we were ahead of schedule, Beverley let me loose on some of the fab dies and stamps in the studio.

I think she may have regretted it when she seen the mess I made!

So heres what I created, just to say Hi!

Here i have used the 'butterfly' dies and 'Background builders: Lattice.' You really can mix and match any of the Uniko Studio sets. I was spoilt for choice!

I created this card using some stamps from the time and sentiment collections. I thought I would try and brighten your day up with these since the weather isn't!

I've really enjoyed stamping today so I hope you do too!

Dynamic Duo CAS style!

Hey!

Today I have a duo of cards to share, as they are both super CAS I thought that some of you would be disappointed if I just showed this first card...

I used the current Dynamic Duos challenge colours HERE and seen below for my cards, a perfect colour combo for masculine cards. I decided to ink up Background Builders: Round In Circles to create a simple birthday card.

After I had finished the first card I decided to go on and make a little 10.5 cm square card using the same colours and the grunge circle from the set, using up a few more scraps of left over CS...

This is my favourite out of the two cards today and is perfect for the current challenge over on Addicted to CAS HERE whose code word is Birthday.

It seems quite in the studio today as with having Abbey here to help with tasks to be done they're getting done quicker! The studio organisation is coming along nicely too so fingers crossed I'll get to share some photos soon!

Thats all from me today, thanks for stopping by.

Just a note, Hello

Hey!

How are we all doing? I hope everyones week has got off to a good start, my week has here in the studio as I have a guest with me for the next couple of weeks... Abbey a soon to be graduate from Cleveland College of Art and Design arrived in the studio yesterday & is undertaking an internship for work experience. Abbey has been a tremendous help already and it's all go in the studio! You'll get to hear a bit more about & from Abbey later in the week as she will be doing some guest posts here on the blog and sharing a project or two!

Ok, how about a card...

Another super CAS card today, this time I've used the current Fusion challenge seen HERE and below for the layout and colours of my card.

I've combined a few Uniko Studio products on my card today which are listed below in the supplies. Another layered vellum butterfly too on this card, the vellum really helps to soften a strong colour like the Chocolate Chip I've used and also gives the fluttering effect of butterfly wings - well I think so! Haha!

That's all from me today, lots to be done as Uniko Studio prepare for the Looka' Teesside Craft Fair on June 1st in Stockton-On-Tees & the up coming June Release! I will be sharing more about these events soon on the blog.

I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then thank you for stopping by :)

CASE it Winner!

Hey!

Happy Monday, I hope your all well & had a lovely weekend? I had a lovely break from working and crafting in the studio :)

I'm back today ready to get cracking on lots of things in the studio, but first I'm here today to announce the winner of the May DT Blog Hop CASE Challenge WINNER. I want to thank each of the ladies who took the time to enter the challenge & share your projects with me & the DT, it makes my day :)

As it was a challenge to CASE one of the DT's cards along the hop I put it to the DT to vote for their favourite entry into the challenge, so with majority votes the winner is...

Pauline with this beauty...

Can you see how Pauline was inspired by Stacey's card seen HERE and below? Pauline also created another 2 projects for the challenge seen HERE and HERE. They are both well worth a look :)

Congratulations Pauline! Send me an email and I will get your £20 gift certificate to you.

Ok, that's all from me just now, I'll be back later today with a card to share, until then thanks for stopping by.

Blooming Vellum!

Hey!

Finally I found a little inky time this week & also time to finish a card I had started making on Saturday during the demo at The Paperlane...

I'm totally on a vellum kick at the moment and I am hooked on using the NEW Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum (Back in Stock 28th May). I used the same technique I did HERE on this card using Cosmic Shimmer EP and Copic markers.

This little bloom is perfect for the current CASology challenge HERE, the code word being bloom!

This bloom was easy to fussy cut out as it's on vellum (no more fussy cutting soon *wink*) and I used small amounts of double sided tape to adhere it to the card, strategically placing it along the embossed lines so it can't be seen.

There is still time to join in on the CASE challenge HERE and don't forget the awesome prize up for grabs a £20 Uniko Studio gift certificate

Simply CASE one of the Design Teams cards shown in the May DT Blog Hop, blog about it or put it on your online gallery and link it up below so we can see :) Using Uniko Studio products is not a requirement, but we always LOVE to see them used!

That's all from me today, I'll be back again in the morning with more to share :)
Thanks for stopping by

A Fond Farewell & A Warm Hello...

Hey!

Today we have a Fond Farewell to one of Uniko Studios Design Team members who has been with us since before day 1 when Uniko Studio was only an idea on paper!

Due to life & work commitments Kerry is stepping down from the Design Team :( I'm going to miss seeing Kerry's Layerlicious Lovliness on the DT Blog Hops but I am sure she will still be creating with Uniko Studio products now & then!

THANK YOU Kerry for all your hard work and support with Uniko Studio it is truly appreciated. Hugs x

With fond farewells always comes a Warm Hello... as I now get to introduce you to the newest member of the Uniko Studio Design Team...

The one & only super talented Taheerah!

I was super excited when Taheerah agreed to be Guest Designer last month for release & she certainly 'WOW'ed me with her creation using Uniko Studio products. So when Taheerah said she would join the permanent DT I was beyond ecstatic! You're going to LOVE stopping by Taheerah's blog HERE to see her creations :)

I know you'll all give Kerry a fond virtual hug farewell & Taheerah a warm hug hello :) I thought I make a SUPER simple & CAS card as it be wrong not to have a project to share...

The Gerbera's were still on my desk after making yesterdays card so made this nearly one layer card, this time I used the solid bloom and paired it with a sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #1. I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout for my card seen HERE and below and again I used the Dynamic Duos Anniversary Challenge colours I picked yesterday.

Did you miss the May Design Team Blog Hop HERE? Well, there is still time to comment along the hop to win a prize & there is also a CASE challenge going on & a prize is up for grabs for the challenge too!

Did you know Uniko Studio is on Facebook? We have a page HERE and it's updated regularly with all the goings on here at Uniko Studio. It would make my Birthday if you'd pop over & like my page! If we get to 200 likes before my birthday is over I will draw a lucky FB liker for a prize too!!

That's all from me today, I'm off out for my birthday today, a spot of retail therapy, self indulgence, a meal out and getting my geek on later to see the NEW Star Trek in 3D!

I hope you all have a lovely day whatever you maybe up to! Thanks for stopping by :)
